Senior Sessions - One spot remaining!

I've still got one spot open for my senior special - it will be available to the first person to contact me and mention they saw it on this blog.

The senior session will take place on Front Street in Downtown Morgan City as well as any other locations that you would like to go. Sessions can be booked any time on the weekend or on weekdays.

I'm currently putting together some senior pricing and print collections, complete with lots of complimentary gifts, so keep a look out for those!

New product!

I finally got my own sample of this really cute new product that I'll be carrying. This is the 4x6 spiral-bound proof book that you get free with any $250.00 print purchase. You can also purchase it separately for $150.00. The album pages are 4x6 with a light texture and can have either a black or white border. You can choose to have all of the proofs from your session or just your favorites. There is a clear cover and a black cardboard backing. The front of the album will have a unique, custom design and you can choose if you want the ribbons and what colors you'd like. The albums are the perfect size to carry around in your purse or diaper bag and would make great gifts! Sorry about the low-quality photos, I'm not really a "product" photographer :-)

I *heart* Ikea

Last week I got to make my first trip to Ikea and boy was I in love! I got the greatest little kid's chairs, some cute rugs and lots of new toy stuffies for the babies! Yesterday, I had my friend come over with her gorgeous blond-hair, blue-eyed boys so that I could try out my new props (because my son refused to cooperate on numerous occasions!) Nothing makes a great photo quite like fun Ikea props and a happy blue-eyed boy! Can you believe those gorgeous eyes??!!

Sweet new baby boy!

I got to meet the greatest family yesterday! This little baby boy is so loved by his mommy, daddy and his grandma, who were all present for the session, which we did on-location in his nautical-themed bedroom (which I adored!) He was so sweet and a perfect little model, it only took a few "laps" around the house to make him happy when he got a bit fussy! Can't wait to meet you again little "G"!

Ugh, sorry about the weird colors, I hate what the internet does to my photos sometimes, they look a bit different in Photoshop!

This family of camo-wearers, that is! A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing this fun family. I knew it would be a good time when I was told they'd all be in camo, even the baby! Too cute!

Calling all 08/09 Seniors!

I'm looking for a few seniors to photograph to build my senior portfolio.

If you are currently a junior or a senior at any high school in the surrounding area, please contact me: jamie@jamieheylphotography.com

The first 3 seniors to contact me will receive my Senior PB special which will include up to 3 hours of time, as many clothing changes as you'd like and several outdoor locations. We can also do on-location shots at your own home if you would like.

The special will also include 50 "rep" cards which will feature your favorite shot from the session along with my contact information. These are to hand out to your friends to help spread the word. Senior reps will also get 10% off of any prints and custom products. I will also provide up to 10 watermarked, copyrighted, low resolution images on a CD that you can use on blogs, websites, MySpace, Facebook, etc.

So what's there to lose? After I've got my 3 reps, I'll give each one a call and we'll talk about the session - what you expect, what you like and dislike, and suggestions for clothing, props, etc.

Storyboard Sample

I've had a few requests to see a sample storyboard, so I've taken some photos of this one, which is the 10x20 styrene. You can see that it is self-standing so you can set it on a mantle, shelf or even hang it on the wall with ribbon. I'll be adding many more sample storyboards to my own collection over the next couple of months.

New stuff

I have decided to implement an "early bird" type special for clients. Once you receive your online gallery link, if you order within 3 days of receiving it, you will be eligible for a 10% discount on your entire print order. Another change will be that the online galleries will now only stay online for 2 weeks before they expire.

Also in the works is a referral program, so keep an eye out for more details and make sure to tell your friends and family to give me your name if you referred them to me!

I haven't added this to my site yet, but I've gotten a few inquiries about getting images on a CD along with the copyright release. The first photo on a CD, with the copyright, will be $40.00, with each additional photo being $30.00. You can purchase your entire session for $250.00.

For those of you interested in images for websites such as MySpace or your personal blogs, I am offering a CD of low-resolution, water-marked photos for $40.00.

Another exciting service that I am looking to add soon is special event photography. I've had a few inquiries about doing birthday parties and am working on pricing for that, so be sure to check back soon!
