Here's "B"!

With a tall baseball (and football) player, beautiful scenery and a fun family, this shoot was bound to be a blast! This camp on the bayou was the perfect location for a Senior shoot with "B" and a refreshing change from the usual places I've been shooting. I had a great time talking with "B" and his mom and sister, too! I hope you guys enjoy the sneak peek!

Miss "M"

Miss "M" was so sweet and so beautiful! She came for her session by herself, so I was able to just pile her into my (messy) car and just go wherever I felt like going! We tried out a few different places and I'm happy that they turned out the way they did, so now I have a few new little spots to shoot!

Mr. "P" and Achilles

Wow, what a session! "P" and I met up with his mom on a Sunday afternoon for a great session with lots of new ideas. "P" has a beautiful dog named Achilles, that sat in on quite a few shots and we went everywhere from his high school, to the lake, to the river. It was a fun afternoon and I hope I was able to capture your "visions!"

Miss "J"

Well, for having to get up and take Senior pictures the morning after her prom, Miss "J" was a great model and took some beautiful photos! We started out at their gorgeous waterfront home, then headed to Front Street! Miss "J" and her family (mom and sisters) were so sweet, I enjoyed talking with them all. Enjoy the photos!

5 Things - Getting to know me

I see things like this on MySpace and Blogs all the time and figured I'd post this one here so you guys could get to know me just a little bit. I've really enjoyed my Senior sessions over the last few months because I get to meet so many new people and I feel like during the time that it takes to do the sessions, I get to know my clients just a little bit. I really enjoy talking to them and learning things about them as well as letting them know a little about me, so here's a little more!

What was I doing 5 years ago?
In 2003 I was living with my best friend and working at a neuropsychologists' office as a biller collector. I was working on getting back into school so I could finish my last two semesters and graduate. My husband and I started dating 5 years ago, in June :-) I was still quite a "partier" at the time, going out every weekend and just overall, loving life!

Five things on my to-do list today ( or things I did today):
1. Help a friend with something on the computer
2. Take Hayden swimming at his friends' house
3. Cook dinner
4. Proof Senior sessions
5. Work on my sister's birthday present

Five snacks i love (this changes by the day since being pregnant!):
1. Little containers of cut pineapples
2. Cake, yum!
3. Dry roasted peanuts
4. Sliced apples
5. Anything sweet!

Five things i would do if i were a billionaire:
1. Build our dream house
2. Move my sister and parents closer to us
3. Travel
4. Pay off all of our bills (student loans SUCK)
5. Purchase tons of camera equipment!!

Five bad habits I have:
1. Procrastinate
2. Leaving clutter everywhere (my husband hates this!)
3. Forgetting clothes in the wash and having to rewash them
4. Losing my cell phone
5. Not cleaning out my car

Five places I have lived:
1. Harvey, LA
2. Metairie, LA
3. New Orleans, LA
4. Alexandria, VA
5. Morgan City, LA

Five jobs I’ve had:
1. Hallmark sales girl (first job!)
2. Waited tables at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company
3. Biller / collector at psychologists office
4. Assistant to real estate appraiser
5. stay-at-home-mom

Travis - Full Session

A really fun (and unusual) Session!

So, last weekend I met Travis and his mom. Travis gets out of the car and has tons of really thick, curly hair ... then he tells me that his friend is going to come out in a bit to come shave his head ... uh, what??

Travis grew his hair for his mom, so she could have senior pictures with his curls (awww! lol) But he also wanted pictures without his hair, so that's what we did! Here's Travis, which do you prefer, curls or no hair??

Some more of Miss "C"

I've had a little feedback regarding the slideshows ... basically, that they are neat, but you can't see the photos that well and I agree, so I'll still post a few of my favorites on the blog. I have decided to try the full length slideshow, which will let me use every image from a session, so I'll probably post a couple of those. I'll offer these for Seniors to purchase for their MySpace, blogs, websites, etc. (starting 2009) I'm in the process of creating a full length one to test it out, in the meantime, here's beautiful Miss "C" in the "Secret Garden" (that's what the location reminded me of!)

Miss "C" - a new type of sneak peek!

I found this really neat slideshow producer online that I'm considering purchasing and thought it would be fun to post sneak peeks this way! If it goes over well, I may offer the full-length versions as part of my Senior packages next year. Let me know what you think!

Finally! Another guy!

It was nice to finally get another Senior guy to photograph, even though "E" didn't seem entirely thrilled to be in front of the camera :-) Don't worry, though, there won't be a shortage of Senior guys, I've got 4 more coming up in the next few days! I'm finding that scheduling around baseball season has been particularly challenging!

"A" and "B"

Last weekend, I got to do a double Senior shoot with two good friends, "A" and "B." Not only that, but I was able to shoot in a couple of new and fun locations, that's always a good day (despite being really sick that day.) I hope you guys like your pictures!

The fabulous "Miss P"

"P" and her mom were really great to work with on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I was a bit under the weather for their appointment, but we managed to get some great shots on Front Street and at a beautiful home in Berwick. Enjoy you guys!
