Ashley Bridals

What a fun shoot! I never realized how much I'd enjoy doing bridal portraits, but it was really a great new experience! This is Ashley, a friend of my sister's, who was married in December but never had bridal portraits done. She decided to do it now as a gift for Mother's Day (and its always fun to wear your wedding dress one more time!) ... I hope she and her mom will be pleased!

Mini Mousketeer!

So, as promised, here's little Elliott! This little guy is such an absolute doll, except he doesn't want to smile much for the camera! We put off taking his 6 month photos until his trip to Disney so he could get a picture in his Mickey ears, aren't they precious?!

Deep breath and phew!

Wow, its been a crazy couple of months! I had no idea when I started photographing Seniors, that it would take off so quickly! I'm so grateful for all of the wonderful "word-of-mouth" that has been spread around, without all of my fantastic clients, I would never be where I am! I truly have enjoyed meeting each and every one of you, its made me feel like a part of this community, even though we've barely been here have year!

Now that Senior season is over, I've got a few other things to concentrate on. First, and most exciting, are the two weddings I'm doing at the end of this month! I'm truly thrilled to have the chance to photograph not one, but two beautiful weddings! I've also got my first 3 bridal portrait sessions scheduled this month. I've been fortunate enough to be working with two amazing photographers in New Orleans (and good friends of mine), Corine and Beebe Tran of StudioTran. They've both been such a huge help in getting my feet wet and preparing me for my first two weddings. A wedding is such a huge and momentous occassion in someone's life, I could never imagine just stepping in unprepared with no experience, so Corine and Beebe have been letting me tag along with them for the last few months ... what a learning experience!

I'm also getting back into my studio work with babies and children. I took some 6 month pictures of my friend's little boy this afternoon and I can't wait to share them on here! He's truly such a doll and was just as good of a little model as he has been in the past!

I know you guys are already thinking about next year, your SENIOR year! You may not be thinking about Senior portraits yet, but its never too early to start! We're already signing up our 2009 Senior reps, so if you are a 2009 Senior at a surrounding school, please contact me for information on how to become a Senior rep!

(I already have reps for Morgan City, Berwick and Central Catholic)

Please check back soon for all the information on Senior reps!

Most appropriately, here's "Z!"

My last Senior for 2008! (That's not to say I won't take anymore, he's just my last scheduled Senior) Poor "Z" had to squeeze his Senior portraits in on a Sunday morning and not just any Sunday morning, the morning after prom, ouch! I know that wasn't too fun, but he was a trooper and quite funny! I had a great time hanging out with you guys and I hope it wasn't too painful!

Here's "B"!

With a tall baseball (and football) player, beautiful scenery and a fun family, this shoot was bound to be a blast! This camp on the bayou was the perfect location for a Senior shoot with "B" and a refreshing change from the usual places I've been shooting. I had a great time talking with "B" and his mom and sister, too! I hope you guys enjoy the sneak peek!
